Raise your hand if you do not like fried mozzarella, the typical pizzeria appetizer, inserted in all Italian-style mixed fries: P I love them, but I was a little scared by the idea of making them at home: I was afraid they would open all cooking, splashing oil everywhere. In the end I took courage and launched myself! Well, I found that if the double breading is done well there are no problems whatsoever, they are easy and quick enough to do ... and, of course, very good! On this gloomy Saturday, the recipe for these fried mozzarella balls could be a delicious idea to bring to the table for dinner, start looking for these cherries and then off to the stove;) I leave you to the recipe and I wish you a sweet, very sweet Weekend, basins.
How to make fried mozzarella
Drain the mozzarella in a colander for at least 30 minutes.
Then arrange the flour, the beaten eggs with a little salt and the breadcrumbs in three different dishes.
Roll the mozzarella balls first in the flour, taking care to make it stick well all around.
Then in the beaten egg and finally in the breadcrumbs. I recommend, be careful to completely cover the mozzarella, or they will open during cooking!
Then repeat the passage in the egg and breadcrumbs thus obtaining a double breading.
Heat the seed oil in a pan with high sides and, when the oil has become very hot, immerse the mozzarella and fry until golden.
Once golden, lift them with a slotted spoon and let them dry on absorbent paper.
Serve the fried mozzarella very hot.
