Tangerines filled with chocolate cream are not only a delicious spoon dessert but also a perfect idea for Halloween. Yes, because it will be enough to draw with a food marker some eyes and mouth to transform a small mandarin into a monstrous pumpkin to serve as a sweet. The filling can be made with pudding or, as in this case, with chocolate custard flavored with mandarin, my Ely enjoyed it very much and I'm sure your kids will love to snack on these too halloween tangerines ;)

How to make halloween tangerines
Start by washing the tangerines and cutting their caps.
With a teaspoon empty them gently without breaking them.
Mash the extracted pulp and with a sieve extract the juice. You will need 50 ml.
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar to obtain a frothy mixture.
Add the sifted starch and mix.
Then put the milk and the juice of the mandarins and mix.
Transfer everything to a thick-bottomed pot and let it thicken, stirring, over very low heat.
When the cream is ready, turn off the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Turn vigorously to melt the chocolate. Then let it cool down.
Now fill the emptied tangerines with the chocolate cream.
Then decorate them with a food marker.
Match each mandarin with its cap, serve them or keep them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
